My Smart Hands Launches iPhone App

msh_iphone_app_screen_shotI am so proud to announce that My Smart Hands has launched its very own iPhone App! This news means a lot to me personally because I am an iPhone enthusiast and have longed for a decent baby sign language app for the longest time! And I am so proud to be a part of a company who put such a great app together. I bought it the day it came out and it has been a GREAT reference to me as a My Smart Hands Instructor.

The app comes with over 300 signs. It is a video dictionary that not only shows you the ASL signs, but also explains how to do them or gives you great memory tips on how to remember and understand them. The app features over 45 minutes of instructional video from ASL instructor and My Smart Hands founder Laura Berg! You can try the LITE version for free to see how much you’ll benefit from this app when teaching your baby sign language.

The app also allows you to keep track of the signs you want to work on in your own favorites list, and arrange those signs in any order you like. Categories have been included so you can quickly and easily find words that are related, like “food,” “animals” and “daily routines.” It comes with an easy search option, simply type in the word you are looking for and it will come up. And finally, the quiz portion will be great fun while you are learning all of the words in the MSH app. You can customize the number of questions in the quiz from 3-20 and you can also customize the difficulty by picking from 2, 3 or 4 answers. At the end of the quiz you can check your scorecard, view the signs you missed, and even add them to your favorites to work on later!
